This is like a coloring book for big girls in fashion!! I'm WAY past the age of coloring in the lines but this book is sooooo fun and kinda relaxing. I color in fashion accessories and apparel, it's absolutely so cute. This coloring book is for all ages and who says that I can't color because I'm in grad school. Helps take my mind off stress and who doesn't love fashion!!!

I opened this book with high expectations, much to my disappointment. Most of the pictures just seem to be shapeless garments with no sense of style. I understand runway garments are differently styled than ordinary, but this is really bad. Not at all what I expected, I wanted beautiful clothes with facial features on the models. What I got is a far cry from that.

This is more of a fashion sketch book that can be colored. It has great designs in it but may not engage the interest of younger coloristas.

Mine came as it appeared to be scribbled in by a five year old child . It would have been a better rating other than the crappy packaging , scribbled on pages and way too young for a teen seeking some fashion design inspiration . Thumbs down

The first page i opened it to was apes in mens suits.... Im sorry but really? I dont want to color junk like that, I expected fashion and was really let down.

I find this book VERY abstract. It's edgy, modern, more fashion show clothing vs every-day wear. Which might be very pleasing to some.I wouldn't buy it again, if Id seen the inside.To describe the inside so you can judge for yourself:It includes pages that have mad-lib sort of stories. It includes two whole pages of eggs and bacon images. It has a 'make a fake profile for a model' page, like write in the models' fav song and whatever else. There's models in run-way like clown wear, there's a page to decorate and cut-out an eye mask.The shoe pages look terrible to me. I like harder lines in pictures I color. And the shoes dont represent anything I would like coloring, like a good blahnik or madden shoe.The female model pages, most of the clothing are like drapey simple dresses or drapey parachute-ish type pants. A lot of oversized shirts or blazers on the models.Some pages have just a female head, where i guess you'd focus on make-up or hair design. A couple pages with just simple watches or hats.Some pages seem to have nothing to do with fashion per se, a page of geometric lines or only flowers or only dots or check design.I liked the fashion/designer quotes throughout the book. I like the 'games' where it was something like match this image of a designers head to their name.Overall, I found this to be too abstract, too all-over the place for me. I would say it is less likely to please someone who's more into the coloring side and less into staring at run-way images.I would love to find something in between this and other silly fashion options like barbie-doll images!!

Got this for a friend in the hospital. She's a fashionable 30-something and this has helped to pass the time while she undergoes chemo for cancer. I sent it with a big pack of nice markers and colored pencils, and it was apparently a hit. Send along some nice fuzzy socks with non-slip bottoms and you've got the makings of a nice care package :-)

Such a fun book. Granddaughter loved it

First, my only real complaint about the book is the extreme overuse of acronyms. If the reader is not a member of the financial industry -- either Wall Street or the Fed -- the use of acronyms makes for a very difficult read and forces the reader to constantly go back to find the definitions.What I liked most about the book was the disclosure of just how incompetent Greenspan, Geithner, Bernanke, and Yellen were/are regarding the central planning of an economy. I also appreciated the author showing the greed and corruption of Jamie Dimon, Larry Summers, and Goldman Sachs.Here are some statements by the author that I found interesting:Page 91 -- The Fed, Fisher argued, was giving in to a "siren call" to "indulge rather than discipline risky financial behavior."Page 252 -- But remember, at the end of the fairy tale, the wolf shows up. The Federal Reserve's radical monetary policy -- imposed by academics with no experience in the business world -- has proved a disaster on an unprecedented scale. Global systemic risk has been exponentially amplified by the Fed's actions.Page 260 -- Central banking around the world has become a growth industry, populated with PhD economists and a few former investment bankers. These unelected men -- and a few women, most notably Yellen -- control the world's economic system. They are arguably more powerful than the world's political leaders chosen by voters.Page 262 -- Mistakes by the Fed included missing the housing bubble and financial crisis, being "blinded" to the slowdown in the growth of worker productivity, and failing to anticipate how inflation behaved in regard to the job market. The Fed's economic projections of GDP and how fast the economy would grow were wrong time and again.Finally, I found it amazing that the Fed continues to rely on models created by hundreds of elitist PhD economists even though those models are wrong more often than they are correct.

Very rarely do we get an inside view of Federal Reserve decision-making from someone near the top. Even more rarely do we get such a view from someone who writes as clearly and wittily as Danielle DiMartino Booth. Fed Up is as much a page-turner as any Tom Clancy or Steven King novel, with one difference. This story isn't fiction. It's all too real and affects every one of us. Highly recommended.

It was an interesting book in terms of discussing the dynamics of the fed and in general getting deeper into the story than can easily be found in the general media. It fell a little short of my expectations in terms of suggesting policy alternatives and why they might have led to a superior outcome once the crisis hit ; same with the discussion of derivatives - the author gives a reasonable account of what happened, but does not break it down, compare it to previous crises, etc. in a way that might suggest how something similar might be detected and/or headed off in the future.Well written and I was not unhappy I purchased it, just came away feeling more like I had read a dramatic novel when I was expecting more policy analysis and data-supported recommendations. Probably a 3.5, but couldn't quite get myself to a 4.

Almost makes you think a PhD in Economics should disqualify you from a position with the Fed. With their consistent tunnel vision and inability to appreciate economic facts right before their eyes, they've done great economic harm to the taxpayers of this country. This book is refreshing in it's approach and insight into the Fed's policy making approach and exposes the out-of-touch theories resulting from academics with no real life experience in the world they claim to understand with their "mathematical models".

All empires, by definition, are bumbling, shambolic, bullying, bureaucratic affairs, as certain of the rightness of their cause in infancy, as they are corrupted by power in their dotage."

At first I was turned off by the book because the questions seemed basic and self-explanatory. However, the questions listed in the book is not what adds value to an organization. The techniques and advice on how to interpret and tackle each question is the value in the book. Anyone working in nonprofit should read this book. This book can be expanded from nonprofits and applied to all organizations.

I actually owned the first six volumes individually before purchasing this box set. As soon as I saw this set, I had to buy it. The box is really beautiful and perfect for storing these books. There is a difference of paper quality from the individual volumes, and each volume inside the box set is "Printed in Canada" whereas the individual volumes I own are "Printed in the United States." The paper quality feels cheaper and more flimsy, so they do have the potential to crease more readily than the individually purchased volumes.However, all the contents are the same with colored pages in the first few pages, so if you are not picky about paper and the slight difference in printing as an effect of the paper quality, then it is really a nice set with stickers and a lovely storage box. Also, the only other problem I found is the first and last volumes of this set (#1 and #6) have a little dent on the corner cover, probably from the manufacturer inserting the books in the box, and the fact that the paper quality is thinner.

Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon, V. 11 by Naoko Takeuchi🌟🌟🌟🌟💔🎤🌙💫UGHHH. The last two books in this manga mess me up. The Sailor Star Lights are just so damn sad. This book in particular is mainly tragedy after tragedy after tragedy. But Chibi-Chibi finally appears! And we also get to see Chibi Usa in the future, along with her family, actually just living it up, which I think is pretty neat. Neptune cracks me up. Saturn brings me joy. (Ironically, too.) And Usagi—sniffles everywhere. As much as I enjoy Stars, it’s such a quick arc that it can feel rushed and a bit insane (but I also think that has a lot to do with Usagi’s state of mind). For the first half of the volume though, it’s really neat to see how every character has settled into a calm lifestyle, but as usual, that never lasts for long. A new enemy appears…and then the Sailor Star Lights come in.Seiya is a fan favorite, but I really think this volume doesn’t cover enough of Seiya for me to love her just yet. (The next volume is a different story.) In fact, I really love Seiya in this volume just because of Haruka’s reactions. (Uranus.) Haruka in particular is a lot like Seiya, which makes sense considering they are all guardians but in separate sections of the Milky Way. This volume really makes you want to dream up of all the other guardians and possibilities out there…which brings me to my next point. I LOVE that the guardians are the enemies in the final arc of Sailor Moon. I love reading about how all the “lesser” guardians are jealous and want their own planet. I love the idea of these “protectors” finally snapping and wanting to be the ones that are protected. It adds a flawed dynamic to the series I wish Takeuchi could’ve explored for ten volumes. But alas, we have two. Two great ones. (And one left.) I’m going to cry. Onto the last volume!~SATRecommended to: Sailor Moon fans (must read first 10 to understand this one), but you might enjoy Sailor Moon if you love female superheroes, galaxy-themed villains and mythology, and cheesy romance. This volume in particular also deals with severe denial and delusions.Favorite panel: Seiya and Usagi: “I’m sorry. I didn’t…intend to hurt you…” Not only is it emotionally tense but it’s a moment of awakening for Usagi to face her trauma and fears. It’s the breaking point of the arc.

I'm absolutely thrilled with my 3rd Sailor Moon manga volume! I've been reading scanned bits and pieces people have posted on the Internet for years and I'm so glad to finally be able to read the complete story. I did note some of the problems that others have mentioned, but I'm so glad to be able to read these for myself that I can easily look past it. While it would be so nice to have a perfect version, I am happy with what I've got.These volumes are thick! They are quickly read because there's not a ton of text on the pages but you'll sit and just look at the art after you've read the words. I don't want to put any spoilers in my review so I'll just say that this one picks up right where the last one left off, where the sailors are fighting Queen Beryl. In this volume we meet Chibi Usagi and the Black Moon Clan.I love all the Serenity and Endymion art and was nearly in tears almost through the whole first half. A much more dramatic and satisfying conclusion than the television series in my opinion.About to order Volume 4! I can't wait!

I'm finally getting around to collecting volumes 2-5, and this is where the manga really starts to rock; at least until Chibiusa shows up (I like her but I think that the Black Moon and Infinity arcs are better in the anime). I reread the the first volume after watching Sailor Moon Crystal (which is very good), and while I still loved it I must confess it was definitely not as good as the anime, but this is where the manga really gives the anime a run for its money. The plot never lets up, and it's quite dark at some points. I will admit that I do think it could have more comedy, and at this point the only character we really get to know apart from Usagi and Mamoru is Minako. It's because of those points that I prefer the anime; but this is still an awesome volume that every Moonie should have in their collection.

This is the best volume of Sailor Moon so far. We get to see how the Dead Moon Circus arc should have ended in all its glory. The only negative criticism is that Nehellenia's backstory isn't terribly original. It's just like Maleficent's story in Sleeping Beauty. I must confess I personally thought the anime's version was much better. But apart from that, everything else here is superior to the anime. The Amazoness Quartet are much better here, the Outer Sailors are present & to top it all off Tuxedo Mask actually helps finish off the villain. I think that last point I why I like it so much. I know he did that for the last arc but it's just so much cooler here. Anyways, this is my favorite arc of the manga, apart from the last one. That's right the next 2 volumes are even better. Join me next time when the manga goes out with a bang, not a whimper like the anime did.
