Excellent.

Prime example of EXCELLENT research and afrocentric writing of true African history. MUST READ!!

I'm enjoying reading it now. It's hard to look at African Americans now without being amazed at their ability to survive the ghastly experiences they're suffered.

Excellent history of Africa. I highly recommend this text.

Dr. Asantes work, as most of his writings on anything African, lacks depth. Granted, he is attempting to scan +6,000 years of African history (referring to the Badarian in Egypt up to the present time); however, none of his sources are among the main works cited by authors working on the time and space periods about which he writes. A review of his bibliography will show this (no citations of Tarikh as-Soudan or Tarikh el-Fattash, only now is Asante making his own translations from the glyphs, yet writes about Nubia without citing, or evening mentioning, major authors and excavations at key sites). In addition, there are numerous historical inaccuracies in the work, which are clear to anyone with a background in the areas about which he's writing, but will stand as truth to the un-initiated reader.What's left is an attempt to gloss over Africa as if it were one, mass, glorious entity, but without paying adequate attention to its complexities. Such is in fact a disservice to the groups he claims to be fighting for, as Asante refuses in the majority of his work, to engage primary source materials. This is done largely because he cannot. (Note the other review mentions his failure to "put the nail in the coffin" with respect to Obenga's classifications of African languages; Asante's work does not show that he was the depth and breadth of knowledge to grasp and comprehend this. Evidence of this comes simply in the fact that he does not produce similar work). One must, therefore, love and respect Dr. Asante for his passion for African people, but, in the same vein, detest his scholarship and all assumptions borne from it (as it is, in fact, not scholarly).Those looking for better works on Africa would be better served reading Diop himself (Precolonial Black Africa), Theophile Obenga or John Hunwick.

Asante does it again with this important work. He creates a new vision of Africa that is largely out of the realm of what we have been exposed to. This is a view of African history we would have received years ago in an intellectually just society. Well done!

This is more of a junior telling of the story than a true coloring book. Yes there are some story pages but there is a great deal of dialogue in the book. I think it would be a great gift for an Anne fan or for someone who wants to maybe color the book and give it as a gift. Say a parent who colors it and gives it to their child or the other way around.

When this arrived it was bent in several places. The cover was somewhat folded back at the bottom corner, so this was difficult to remove the creases.

So disappointing, not really for adult coloring so many words in it to, it is like a recap of Anne of Green gables with a few things to color.

Anne of Green Gables was one of my favorite books and movies so I am really enjoying following the story once again as I color the beautiful illustrations within. One can have so much fun with these coloring books for so little money! I highly recommend them!

I have so much nostalgia over Anne of Green Gables and I can't wait to color this wonderful book!

I didn't realize it was the book with illustration coloring pages.

My 8 year old loves this book. A definite step up from kiddie coloring books, and the included text/story is a definite appeal. Definitely a "graduation" for her from more simplistic coloring w/ story books.

I'm a beginner to Spanish Learning and flash cards have always been the best method for me to reinforce knowledge. These flash cards are good for just that. They aren't miracle workers, just a great tool to use to increase your Spanish vocabulary. Small enough to fit into my purse or any bag. I use them during down times or when I find myself waiting in a line or at a doctor's office, which always leads to a conversation with a stranger about the struggles of learning a 2nd language. The cards are large enough to read without my glasses. :-). They are sturdy and made from the same type of stock paper as index cards. They are a great value for the price.

Since it's hard to tell what's actually included due to the limited sample pages, here's a list:1. Confusing words pairs2. False friends3. Idiomatic & other meaningful expressions (Subsections for expressions with: a, de, en, por, andar, dar, echar, estar, hacer, ir, perder, poner, quedar, ser, tomar, tener)4. They are all great.

These cars are for beginner level Spanish students. There are a few intermediate cards thrown in there. They're flimsy, but that is what I was expecting. I knew most of the vocabulary in this flashcard set, but they're still useful for helping me retain words.

Exactly as advertised, 1000 flash cards the size of business cards. Thickness is in the middle between a sheet of paper and a business card. I like it that thin as it keeps the price low. Very happy to get 1000 flash cards for under $20. Plus this is the only flash card I saw with 1000, the others seemed to have 100 or less for almost the same price. This one covers it all.

I like the cards and the way they are written but I wish they were printed on something a little more durable. These are very flimsy business card size cards.

Very helpful. I use this to teach mentally handicapped children Spanish. There were some cards missing, actually the months of the year. The sellers sent a new box of cards and let me keep the other one. This has been a very effective teaching tool.

This assortment of flash cards is very well organized by topic. I take out a selection of them and haul them around in my backpack or purse to use when I have a moment. Some items are less than useful in 2019 because times have changed. For example: no one uses travelers cheques anymore for obtaining travel money, so an update on financial items and perhaps more about tech would be useful , but for the cost, I am pleased.

I highly recommend The Gebusi for anyone studying anthropology, or anyone who loves reading about other culture's changes over time.

The stories were wide ranging and most if them were very well written. The only reason I didn't five star the set was because one story that had no end (unless you bought the next standalone, which I will not do; I hate being held to ransom by cliffhangers) and one other that wasn't up to the standard of the others. A couple I went on and purchased the next standalone in the series because they were excellent at drawing the reader in.

What a great mix of stories. All of them different and attention absorbing. So glad I purchased. I do need to look up more books from the authors in these stories.

This collection of stories were great. Loved them all made me want more from the authors. Will look into buying other novels and novellas by these authors.

I enjoy these box sets as they give you a sample of many styles of telling a tale. I have found many great stories & look forward to finding more tales from the authors featured in this set.

This is not a book but a collection of books, short novels and teasers. Even if you're into science-fiction and fantasy you may not recognize the authors, but many of the stories are quite good. Considering the price -- zero! -- this is well worth downloading.

Good variety of creative and solid story telling. I definitely recommend the books. I am an avid Sci Fi and Fantasy fiction reader.

This book seems like someone just slapped some facts together to get a book and did not give much thought to the user. There were several pictures that were labeled incorrectly (one picture was used twice with different descriptions underneath which forces the user to look up what which one is accurate; another picture had a granular cast labeled as a squamous epithelial cell) and there were not enough pictures of the different components in urine. This may not seem like a big deal, but when you have to look up everything just to make sure your book is in fact accurate, what is the point of having the book?The end of chapter questions had at least two to three questions that had the incorrect answer options – when the student has to go through the book and edit to get the correct information then the book is not a good study tool. Also, the case studies were good, but the answers did not make any sense at all – it was as if someone matched up the case study with the wrong answers.One thing I remember is the book said a uric acid crystal could be mistaken for a cystine crystal, which did not make sense to me since the book said that uric acid crystal were rhomboid shaped while a cystine crystal is hexagonal. I had to look it up and it turns out that uric acid crystals can have several shapes, including one that is hexagonal, but the book never explains this fact. This is just one little detail the book does not explain.I got Graff's Textbook of Urinalysis and Body Fluids instead. It is organized better and has an actual atlas of urine components.

If your teacher for MLT classes assigns this book for you to buy, tell them not to! Most of the information in the book is correct BUT there are at least 2-3 questions in the review for each chapter that are wrong! On one question the possible answers were a, b, c, or d. In the back of the book the answer to that question was "negative". And others are just completely wrong! Now that my class has discovered this, we barely even use this book because you can't trust it. I wasted money to buy a book that wants to teach me incorrectly....

This book has a ton of good information in it- but it is not written in a way that's easily to understand. There are many terms highlighted in the book that are not defined in that paragraph- forcing you to reference the glossary for an explanation.Many paragraphs have long run on sentences and have so many undefined words crammed into one line that it took much longer than it should have to learn the material.I found many times doing the chapter review questions that the questions were worded in a way that made it hard to determine the correct answer- different wording in the paragraph made it more tricky and harder to learn.My MLT program at a community college used this book for the first time this semester and based on the suggestion of my entire class- it will be the last.

This is a technical book packed with detailed information about what various medical tests mean, how they are performed, and the gotcha's. Clearly written with the detail to do the lab work and interpret the results. This 5th edition is smoothly worded which I find pleasing and a substantial cut above in clarity and relevance to what is freely available via google-fu. For a $1.94 + shipping, this can't be beat for any QS'er who wants the lab nitty gritty on non-blood common tests.

I just finished this course as part of a CLS program and it was one of my favorite classes. This book is interesting and easy to read. There are some spots where a little more detail was desired but I really did enjoy this text. I ended up with a high A in my class thanks to reading (and rereading!!) this book.

I was a tad bit skeptical about the rave reviews before I purchased this book but it definitely delivered!To date I would rate this book the best UA book yet.Not only did it give detailed explanations of urine and body fluid analysis, it also provided an easy understanding of renal function, thereby re-enforcing clinical chemistry concepts that I had learned the previous semester.It comes with selected BOR-type questions at the end of each chapter, plus an amazing array of pictures to enhance understanding of the microscopy section.Highly recommended for all Med Lab Science Students desiring to master the chemical and microscopic concepts behind UA and body fluids.

This book is filled with great information and I actually enjoyed reading it while I studied for tests. The only downside was that some of the multiple choice answers in the back of the book gave the wrong answer.

Easy to follow book, short and simple. I made an 850 on the UA portion of the BOC exam for my med tech degree.
